Climate Change Poster Designs

As part of my Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, I was challenged to respond to the theme "Transmute". This lead to me creating a project, Where I designed posters around climate change, Deforestation and plastic pollution. To raise awareness of how humans have "Transmuted" the natural environment of our planet, and the consequences this has on wildlife.

I designed the posters Digitally using the app procreate where I created illustrations for each poster. As well as backgrounds and text. I then put them together in the app procreate.

I wanted these posters to convey the message of how humans are "Transmuting" the animals environment. I used different colours to convey the bright and colourful natural world, witch then contrasted with the black and grey that represented the pollution humans have caused.

Below is a poster I designed of a toucan facing the threat of deforestation. The text represents wildfires that can spread as a result of deforestation. I am pleased with how the final poster turned out.

This poster shows a jaguar who's habitat has been destroyed as a result of deforestation.

This poster raises awareness of the effects of plastic pollution on our ocean.

I enjoyed this project as it challenged me to think about how I could use my graphic design and illustration skills, to raise awareness about environmental issues I am passionate about.

I enjoyed the process of designing posters and would like to design more posters in the future.
